"Anadolu Ekspres presents an extremely lo-res/lo-fi/lo-key audiovisual program exploring the told and untold histories of Turkish migrant workers in Europe and the themes of labour and migration that are embedded in the vast legacy of “gastarbeiter” (gurbetçi) music and cassette tape culture in Germany and The Netherlands. An evening filled with casual music archaeology, panel talks, cassette tape DJ-ing, video presentations and live performances by: Aylin Öcalan, Cengiz Mengüç, İlayda and Osdorp Tapes (Barış Akardere & Jurriaan Pots). Moderated by Cengiz Mengüç (Anadolu Ekspres) and Krista Jantowski (sonsbeek20-24)."

"For this first edition of POST/NO/BILLS, graphic design curator Thomas Castro invites Metro54 to present We’re Out Here, highlighting the work of designers Lydienne Albertoe, Serana Angelista, Jeanine van Berkel and Cengiz Mengüç. [...] The posters originate from street guerrilla poster culture, which has spawned an experimental, complex design aesthetic and visual language in the public space. In this homage, Metro54 examines the visual language of the counterculture by asking: ‘Who owns the street? Who is permitted to use public space in times of emergency and privatization?’ These questions prompted to develop works that were previously seen on the streets of Amsterdam."
